Angelle
Alternative folk-rocker Angelle was acknowledged as a talented singer and
songwriter before she was old enough to drive. After performing at an Open-Mic
night in Ohio, Angelle was featured in a story on the front page of the
Cleveland Plain Dealer’s entertainment section entitled “Waiting for Lady
Luck.” Since then, many others have come to love her unique lyrics and
absorbing melodies.
In the early 80s Angelle toured around Ohio playing at small taverns and other
local venues in the Cleveland area. In 1986 she began touring with the veteran
rock band Wild Horses and later joined the band Dreamstreet in 1990. While with
Dreamstreet, Angelle opened for the legendary classic rock groups Grand Funk
Railroad and Humble Pie. In 1992 Angelle performed as Master of Ceremonies in
Indianapolis, Indiana for a Ross Perot Presidential campaign rally that was
broadcast nationally.
In 1995 Angelle formed her own group, Universal Joint and produced several
albums, including the Bootleg Anthology and To Be Announced. In 2000 Angelle
decided to focus on a solo career and has been writing and producing her own
music ever since. Her albums can be purchased through her Web site.
